Bank holiday weekend saw two Cadet’s from 09 (West Bridgford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets travel to Walesby Forest Campsite in Newark, joining 1936 Newton Squadron for their annual spring camp.
Cadet Katie Rogers and Cadet Alys Young spent the weekend taking part in activities such as rafting, caving, sports and also a night exercise. The Cadets got the chance to experience living in the field as the weekend was spent in tents and Cadet’s cooked their own ration pack meals, all apart from Sunday morning, where the Cadet’s drooled over the cooked breakfast that the Staf made for them.
In the spirit of the season, they managed to take part in an Easter egg hunt also! Just a shame there was no real chocolate involved…
