Last weekend saw a busy one for some Staff at 209 (West Bridgford) Royal Air Force Air Cadets. Another chance to further develop themselves which will in turn increase the opportunities offered to 209 Cadets.

Saturday saw Sergeant Jade Brock attend the Wing run Training Officers conference at RAF Wittering. An opportunity for all Training Officers around the Wing to come together to look at strengths and weaknesses within training on units and to aid both the Wing Training Officer for Adults and the Wing Training Officer for Cadets to look at future opportunities within both teams. Included in the day were keys points highlighted and any future changes that are being held within the Air Cadet Organisation. It was also an opportunity for Wing Commander Mills, the Central and East Region Training Officer to give an overview on Adult qualifications that can be achieved within Cadets and through CVQO.MCO Course

Saturday also saw our Civilian Committee Chair, Angela McDonald, travel to RAF Wyton for a Central and East Region Media and Communications course. The course looks at the role of Media and Communication Officers (MCO’s) on Squadrons along with understanding the basics of PR and photography.
