After an extremely cold and windy day on Sunday at RAF Cranwell, new 209 (West Bridgford) Air Cadet, Cadet Brooksby, and the rest of the South and East Midlands Wing football team walked away with a bronze medal at the Central and East Region football championships.
Cadet Brooksby who has recently transferred from 2418 (Sherwood) Squadron, travelled to RAF Cranwell to take part in this years Central and East Region junior boys football competition. His successful position within the Wing’s junior football team means he now walks away with his first wing blue, along with the bronze medal that was awarded by Wing Commander Nigel Dickinson.
Cadet Brooksby really enjoyed his day and the challenge at the Central and East Region Competition. “I loved every minute of it, it was great to meet new people and have a laugh.”
