Nine new recruits have completed their training to become fully fledged Air Cadets. The new Cadets were enrolled into 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets at their new Squadron headquarters.
The teenagers who aged between 12 and 14 years old, went through technical training including drill, adventure training, and learning about the history of the Royal Air Force and the Air Cadets.
At the end of their training, the Cadets had a ‘passing out parade’ in front of their fellow Cadets and parents where they each received their first class badges from the Squadron’s Officer in Charge, Flying Officer Simon Howroyd.
The organisation offers activities for young people aged 12 to 20 years old and is based in the new West Bridgford Joint Cadet Centre on Wilford Lane, Nottingham. We meet on Monday and Thursday evenings between 6.30pm and 9pm.
