One Cadet from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets has done it again! Cadet Sergeant McDonald, has been further selected in this years CVQO Duke of Westminster Award.
The four day event will test communication, teamwork, leadership skills and interview through a variety of demanding physical and mental tasks. Part of the assessments for the finalists includes the ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership. This will then determine the nine national finalists who will then get a three-week educational expedition to South Africa. Here they will undertake an environmental awareness course and a cultural project.
If selected as a national finalist, Cadet Sergeant McDonald will be one of nine that gets the opportunity to attend an awards ceremony at the House of Lords.
Between now and the selection event, Cadet Sergeant Grace McDonald must plan a 30 second video on why she should be considered for the ‘CVQO Region Ambassador’
209 (West Bridgford) Squadron is hugely proud of Cadet Sergeant McDonald’s success and we hope you join us in wishing her the best of luck in the coming months.
