Two Cadets from 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets travelled to RAF Wittering to take part in the Junior Football trials this weekend.
Although not being selected for the team, the two Cadet Corporals put in 110% effort and arrived along with 50 other Cadets from South and East Midlands Wing to compete for one of the 16 places up for offer to be part of the Wing Team.
Cadet Corporal Walker thought it was highly enjoyable. “Even though I didn’t make the team I am not disheartened and I will certainly do it again!”
Cadet Corporal Charnley said ‘The trial offered me the chance to play with other footballers in the Wing, even though I did not get picked this year, I will defiantly be back next year’’
