Fieldcraft & Military Tactics

Last weekend our Squadron Commander, one of only two staff in the Region qualified to run exercises with weapons and pyrotechnics, ran the first training course for Central & East Region Small Arms Training Team (CESATT).
The course focused on basic military tactics such as the Section Battle Drills, how to assist a Battle Lesson and how to use the various pyrotechnic assets available to make exercises realistic and fun.
CESATT now have 12 staff qualified as Exercise Assistants and are looking forward to rolling out training in the future.
These exercises will not become fundamental to what we do, but will form an exciting consolidation for those at the top of their game in the Fieldcraft syllabus. In particular those wishing to attend the Junior Leaders course to obtain their maroon lanyard.
